What You Will Do:

  • Perform in-depth research on complex international tax matters, incl. case law.
  • Develop tax planning strategies for international group of companies, and assist in their implementation.
  • Develop tax models illustrating multinational entities' attributes and effective tax rates.
  • Assist in managing all aspects of international income tax and global indirect tax compliance for all Genesis entities;
  • Prepare and review tax returns for multiple jurisdictions (including CIT, VAT/GST, withholding taxes).
  • Evaluate and analyse tax implications on new business decisions in various jurisdictions.
  • Monitor and analyse tax laws across various jurisdictions.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks effectively.
  • Support the legal transaction team in structuring the financing arrangements.
  • Support tax audit and Group M&A transactions.
  • Processing ad-hoc tax related requests from Genesis businesses.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree in economics, business, or other related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in international tax structuring and administration (either in-house or legal & accountancy firm); Experience in Big 4 or top-niche boutique consulting companies will be preferable).
  • Expertise in tax legislation of the countries: Ukraine, Cyprus, USA, UAE and/or UK. Will be a plus - Canada, Japan, Singapore, Australia, India and China.
  • Strong desire to dive into and explore new countries' tax legislation.
  • Strong research skills (i. a. using databases like IBFD, Tax Analyst, CCH Answer Connect, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of international tax, transfer pricing principles, utilization of double tax treaties (including LoB provisions), dealing with tax reporting and compliance matters.
  • English proficiency (upper-intermediate, advanced), with strong communication skills – is a must.
  • Professional knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Tech-savvy, demonstrating openness and adaptability to new technologies.
