Promova is a one-stop language learning platform that includes a mobile app, conversation clubs, group classes and one-to-one lessons with tutors. We have a popular website, media presence, and active socials. Our app has been downloaded more than 16 million times, and our learners completed over 35 million lessons over the last few years. Our goal for the next 2 years is to secure a spot among top 5 online language learning services worldwide. Currently, we are looking for Payment Product Manager to join the Promova team.

A Payment Product Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and optimizing the monetization strategy. Your primary responsibility is to develop and execute the pricing strategy, ensuring it aligns with the target markets and maximizes value capture; design and optimize paywall experiences to enhance user engagement and streamline the purchase journey, providing transparency and value to drive conversions.

The role involves also managing upsell strategies, identifying opportunities to increase average revenue per user (ARPU) through tailored offers, subscription tiers, and in-app one-time purchases. The Payment Product Manager oversees experimentation, using A/B tests and data-driven insights to refine features, pricing models, and user flows to boost conversion rates and lifetime value (LTV)

Your areas of impact:

  • Develop and implement the pricing strategy (by geos, traffic channels, user types, discounts) to drive user conversion and monetisation;
  • Oversee the packages structure (by tiers, sources, content) to ensure providing respective value to end users;
  • Develop and implement the upsell strategy, to impact the LTV from the in-app purchases;
  • Collaborate on developing and executing the tutoring pricing strategy
  • Continuously run a/b tests targeted on improving CR, ARPU, LTV, cancel rate, rebill rate on various touchpoints across the user acquisition and activation funnel (apps, organic and paid web funnels);
  • Run competitors analysis and market analysis to stay upkept on the latest trends.

What you’ll need:

  • 3+ years in product management, with the focus on subscription B2C products, ideally educational, dating or lifestyle products;
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to synthesise complex datasets into actionable strategies;
  • Proficient in self-service analytics and data visualisation tools (Tableau, Amplitude, BigQuery etc)
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across teams, including acquisition (growth), UX research, analytics, billing, design, engineering, customer success;
  • Hands-on experience in A/B testing and running data-driven experiments across user acquisition and activation funnels (apps, organic channels, and paid web funnels).
