What You Will Do:
- work alongside with senior members of the team on broad range of challenging projects and assist on day to day compliance work in Cyprus as well as in other jurisdictions depending on the Group's needs;
- assist with submission of various forms including registration, de-registrations, VAT returns, VIES and OSS declarations;
- liaising with the Cyprus Tax Authorities to handle VAT compliance matters;
- understand and analyze techical issues and undertake effective research towards providing tailor made VAT efficient solutions;
- provide support during VAT audits by preparing necessary documentation and argumentation under the guidance of senior staff. Assist in developing strategies to effectively manage and resolve audit inquiries and challenges;
- keep up to date with current developments in the field of indirect tax (including e-invoice rules, Cesop regulations, VIDA Developments) and apply knowledge to relevant cases.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS or MA/MS degree in economics, business, or other related field.
- at least 3 years of experience in indirect tax field (ideally within a big4 environment)
- Cyprus VAT knowledge and expertise is essential. Experience with VAT in UK and/or other juristictions would be a plus.
