At AmoMama, we are looking for an Entertainment News Writer. In this role, you will create meaningful stories about celebrities and inspiring stories about ordinary people. Also, you will participate in the brainstorming process, and conduct research to develop your writing. As a News Writer, you will set the tone for publications, decide what you want to highlight in the piece, and how to keep the reader engaged until the end of the story.

You will be responsible for:

  • writing articles (around 2- 4 per day) based on multiple sources. You should be able to follow the set editorial guidelines while still being creative;
  • checking articles for factual accuracy;
  • independently searching for any additional information needed.

To succeed in this role, you need:

  • native or proficient level of English;
  • 1+ years of commercial experience in similar positions (journalist, editor, writer, etc.);
  • organizational and time management skills;- advanced skills in PC usage - MS Office, Excel, and Google services;
  • experience with CMS systems (WordPress, custom ones, etc.)

Your reporting manager will be our Operations Manager — Tetyana. She has worked in AMO for 7 years — almost since its inception. Tetyana started as a Content Researcher and later grew into the position of Managing Editor, where she actively developed the content direction. Currently, her responsibilities include building processes within the editorial team, managing legal risks, and distributing content across all platforms.
