They are looking for a Manufacturing Manager (Production Manager) to prove that fashion can be ethical, sustainable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and selecting high-quality raw materials.
- Identifying and managing manufacturers to meet production KPIs and timelines.
- Negotiating the best deals with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Overseeing quality control.
- Production process management.
Required experience & skills
Hard skills (must-have):
1) Supplier Sourcing & Vetting
- Experience identifying and evaluating lingerie/fashion manufacturers (especially in the EU/USA).
- Knows how to read tech packs, assess production capabilities, and request samples effectively.
2) Negotiation & Contracting
- Skilled in price negotiation, MOQs, lead times, and setting clear terms.
- Understands payment terms, import/export conditions, and penalty clauses.
3) Production Planning & Timeline Management
- Ability to create and manage production calendars, sample rounds, and delivery schedules.
- Knows how to prevent and respond to delays.
4) Quality Control & Compliance
- Experience with fit samples, fabric testing, size grading, and final inspections.
- Familiar with ethical manufacturing standards and basic compliance (especially for the U.S. market).
5) Basic Costing & Margin Awareness
- Calculate cost per unit, impact of delays or defects, and flag issues affecting your 60% margin target.
